Dakota Burl is a unique sheet material made from sunflower seed hulls, and can be used anywhere standard particle board is used. We've seen it used for kitchen cabinet door inserts, furniture, cabinetry, wall covering, table tops, and more! Not suitable for kitchen countertop applications, or other potentially wet areas. Can be stained with standard wood stains. Must be sealed - we recommend a water-based polyurethane.
